James A. Hassberger - bio  

James Hassberger has been with the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory for over 16 years.  He is currently a senior nuclear scientist with the Energy and Environmental Directorate where he supports Laboratory and Department of Energy efforts in nuclear energy and security issues, including nonproliferation and interactions with the former Soviet Union.  Prior to moving to Livermore, Mr. Hassberger was a senior nuclear engineer with Westinghouse, working in both fast reactor and fusion energy programs.  He received his Masters degree in nuclear engineering from the University of Michigan in 1972.
